Thanks for stopping by and checking out my site.
Some food writers have beautifully written posts, touching stories and anecdotes, life lessons learned in and around food. Not me. I find it hard to write about myself, as a person, without the tether of a recipe or specific subject. I am married, I don’t have children. I have two dogs. I am a self-taught cook, baker, oenophile, Francophile, mixologist and skydiver. Okay, that last one’s a lie. I don’t skydive.
I started the Boozy Epicure for fun, mostly to share recipes with family and friends. Now it’s become more of a record. An account of where I am now versus where I was before, even if the story is told through food and wine. Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you enjoy my journey, whether you are with me for one recipe or for the long haul. Because if there is one thing I know without a doubt, it is that life is too short to not enjoy it. To not take the time to smell the roses, the coffee, the bacon, the wine. According to Merriam-Webster, an epicure is someone who enjoys food and drink, with the archaic meaning of one devoted to sensual pleasure. I like that, that sounds like me… and I could sure use a glass of wine right now.
